Vacuum furnace leak detection

The vacuum eutectic furnace (vacuum soldering system) is a process welding furnace for high-end products, such as in the industries of laser devices, aerospace, electric vehicles, etc. Compared with traditional chain furnaces, it has significant technical advantages. The main components of the vacuum eutectic furnace system include: a vacuum system, a reducing atmosphere system, a heating/cooling system, a gas flow control system, a safety system, a control system, etc. Among them, the airtightness of the vacuum system is crucial to the quality of the products. Therefore, the leak detection of the vacuum system of the vacuum eutectic furnace is of great importance.

For the leak detection of the eutectic furnace, the negative pressure method of the helium mass spectrometer leak detector is adopted. Since the cavity of the vacuum system of the eutectic furnace is relatively large, using the leak detector to evacuate the vacuum is inefficient, so it is necessary to work with an auxiliary vacuum pump.

The specific method is as follows: Connect a tee to the intake port of the auxiliary vacuum pump, with one side connected to the vacuum cavity and the other side connected to the leak detector. Close the baffle valve at the leak detection port of the leak detector tightly. First, use the auxiliary vacuum pump to evacuate the vacuum cavity. When the vacuum degree of the vacuum cavity reaches the working conditions of the leak detector, press the start button, slowly open the baffle valve at the leak detection port, and close the baffle valve at the intake port of the auxiliary vacuum pump. Let the leak detector maintain the vacuum degree of the vacuum cavity. Use a spray gun connected to helium to spray helium at the possible leakage positions of the vacuum system of the eutectic furnace. If there is a leakage in the product, the helium will enter the interior of the equipment through the leakage holes in the internal channels of the product. When the value exceeds the preset alarm value, the equipment will give an alarm, record the leakage position, and then the leak detection is completed.
